

The 2009 Annual Conference of the Society for Transplant Social Workers will be held in Cleveland , Ohio.
The conference will begin the evening of October 13th with a welcome reception. The conference sessions will be on Wednesday, October 14th, Thursday October 15th and one half day on Friday, October 16th. We are pleased with the hotel arrangements we have made and we were able to secure a very reasonable rate. Information about the hotel is below.
Areas of focus this year will be Chemical Dependency, Innovations in Transplant, Ethics of Transplant, Donor Issues and a "Toolbox" of clinical interventions.
A brochure will be mailed and available online by the end of June - a program and registration form will be included. The cost of the registration will be $350.00 - please see below for scholarship information.

Scholarship
The Society for Transplant Social Workers offers several scholarships to cover the registration fee for the annual Society meeting. Active membership in the Society is required to be eligible for a scholarship, except for students. Students must attach a letter of reference from their clinical supervisor. Completed applications should be sent to Laurie McDonald by August 1, 2009. They will be reviewed by the Society's board members. A decision will be made by August 14, 2009.
